Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), a subsidiary of EchoStar, has launched an innovative new suite of high-speed satellite internet plans under the Hughesnet® brand, leveraging the advanced capabilities of the new Hughes JUPITER™ 3 satellite. These plans are designed to significantly improve the internet experience for customers across rural America, offering faster speeds, unlimited data, and introducing low-latency Hughesnet Fusion® and Whole Home Wi-Fi.

The introduction of these plans marks a significant development in satellite internet technology. The JUPITER 3 satellite, celebrated as the world's largest commercial communications satellite, plays a pivotal role in this advancement. It features more than 300 spot beams, which are instrumental in reducing network congestion and providing a faster, more reliable internet experience. In addition to its expansive coverage, the JUPITER 3 satellite utilizes a state-of-the-art ground system that includes a new dedicated fiber backbone. This system is designed to minimize latency, a common challenge in satellite internet services. Moreover, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in managing network traffic further enhances the efficiency and reliability of the service.

A key innovation in the new Hughesnet plans is the Hughesnet Fusion service. This plan combines satellite and wireless technologies to create a low-latency, more responsive internet experience, particularly beneficial for applications requiring real-time interaction, such as online gaming and videoconferencing. The introduction of Hughesnet Fusion, now with unlimited data and faster speeds, represents a significant leap forward in satellite internet technology.

Peter Gulla, Senior Vice President at Hughes, emphasizes the company's commitment to innovation and customer needs. "Customers expect to be able to stream, videoconference and play games online," said Gulla. "The new Hughesnet is designed to enable these applications with fast speeds, unlimited data and new low-latency Fusion plans. Since inventing satellite internet in the 1990s, Hughes has been dedicated to constantly innovating our service to meet the needs of customers beyond the reach of cable and fiber connectivity. The new Hughesnet is a fundamental reinvention of what satellite internet can be."

In addition to the consumer plans, Hughesnet is also introducing specialized business plans, known as Hughesnet for Business. These plans are tailored to meet the unique needs of rural businesses, offering features such as commercial installation, Express Repair Premium, and 24/7 business-class phone support. The Fusion plans for businesses are particularly optimized for cloud-based collaboration tools, offering expanded capabilities and enhanced performance for these essential applications.

Hughesnet's efforts in improving satellite internet services have been recognized by industry experts and consumer reviews. It was named the Best Satellite Internet Provider of 2023 and the Best Internet Provider for Rural Areas of 2023 by U.S. News & Report 360 Reviews. Additionally, CNET has recognized Hughesnet as the best satellite internet provider for reliable speeds, further validating the company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

For rural Americans and businesses looking for improved internet connectivity, the new Hughesnet plans offer a promising solution. With the technological advancements brought by the JUPITER 3 satellite and the innovative Hughesnet Fusion service, Hughes is setting a new standard for satellite internet, providing faster, more reliable, and lower latency internet services to areas where traditional cable and fiber connectivity are not available.
